It was worth\u00adwhile, but it real\u00adly wrecked my sched\u00adule.<\/li>\n<li>I have a bone to pick with the Cal\u00adi\u00adfor\u00adnia polit\u00adi\u00adcal sys\u00adtem: what\u2019s up with statewide ref\u00ader\u00aden\u00addums? Don\u2019t they defeat the pur\u00adpose of a rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive democ\u00adra\u00adcy?<\/li>\n<li>And why do we use plu\u00adral\u00adi\u00adty vot\u00ading to select pub\u00adlic ser\u00advants? There are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencenews.org\/20021102\/bob8.asp\">much bet\u00adter ways<\/a>!<\/li>\n<li>I broke the 10,000 mile mark\u00ader on our car yes\u00adter\u00adday. I\u2019m get\u00adting quite famil\u00adiar with Cal\u00adi\u00adfor\u00adni\u00ada\u2019s inter\u00adstate sys\u00adtem\u2026<\/li>\n<li>Also yes\u00adter\u00adday I had a chance to meet with a real\u00adly neat pas\u00adtor named Paul. He has eleven chil\u00addren. All by the same wife. Who still looks like a mod\u00adel (his words). Wow.<\/li>\n<li>While I was meet\u00ading with Paul, he gave me a free tick\u00adet to a remark\u00adable cave in Vol\u00adcano, CA called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caverntours.com\/BlackRt.htm\">Black Chasm<\/a>. Creepy name, gor\u00adgeous cav\u00adern. I was the only per\u00adson on the tour when I vis\u00adit\u00aded the cave, so it was real\u00adly cool. If you\u2019re ever near Vol\u00adcano, you should real\u00adly try to vis\u00adit the cave\u2013it\u2019s well worth the time and mon\u00adey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any\u00adway, I\u2019m still work\u00ading at <a href=\"http:\/\/glenandpaula.com\/archives\/000005.html\">rais\u00ading our full mis\u00adsion\u00adary bud\u00adget<\/a> (hence all the miles on the car and the meet\u00ading with said pas\u00adtor). Keep us in your prayers!<\/p>\n<p>Inci\u00adden\u00adtal\u00adly, I am giv\u00ading about two hours a week of min\u00adistry time on Stan\u00adford\u2019s cam\u00adpus. We\u2019ll be hav\u00ading our sixth meet\u00ading of the year this Wednes\u00adday (Paula will be speak\u00ading), and we\u2019re expect\u00ading around 20 stu\u00addents to show up.
