I waxed nos\u00adtalig\u00adic last week, and so I vis\u00adit\u00aded <a href=\"http:\/\/www.new-lifechurch.org\/\">my old church\u2019s web\u00adsite<\/a> to see how things were going. While there I hap\u00adpened to glance at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.new-lifechurch.org\/beliefs.htm\">their \u2018What We Believe\u2019 page<\/a>, and I noticed that it looked very famil\u00adiar.<\/p>\n<p>You see, when I began talk\u00ading to Stan\u00adford stu\u00addents about Chi Alpha many were curi\u00adous about our beliefs. I quick\u00adly real\u00adized that I need\u00aded a more stu\u00addent-friend\u00adly way of explain\u00ading our beliefs than the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ag.org\/top\/beliefs\/truths.cfm\">for\u00admal Assem\u00adblies of God state\u00adment of faith<\/a>. So I thought about it and decid\u00aded to revise and expand the one that we used to use back at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smsu-xa.org\/\">SMS Chi Alpha<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In any event, I wound up writ\u00ading a con\u00adcise <a href=\"http:\/\/xastanford.org\/archives\/000003.html\">state\u00adment of faith<\/a> for Chi Alpha @ Stan\u00adford. Lo and behold, it\u2019s iden\u00adti\u00adcal to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.new-lifechurch.org\/beliefs.htm\">the one on my old church\u2019s web\u00adsite<\/a>! I emailed Cal (my old pas\u00adtor), and he said that he saw it and liked it so much that he decid\u00aded to adopt it. Fur\u00adther\u00admore, he\u2019s shared it with two oth\u00ader church\u00ades (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.timbercreek.org\">Tim\u00adber\u00adcreek<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timberlinechurch.org\/\">Tim\u00adber\u00adline<\/a>) that are con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ading adopt\u00ading (or adapt\u00ading it).<\/p>\n<p>Since one of the things I get most excit\u00aded about is shar\u00ading resources that help oth\u00ader peo\u00adple be more effec\u00adtive, I\u2019m pret\u00adty hap\u00adpy about it!
