    So.\u2026 yeah. We\u2019re num\u00adber 10, we\u2019re num\u00adber 10, we\u2019re num\u00adber 10! Maybe we can chant that at Gen\u00ader\u00adal Coun\u00adcil. <\/p>\n

    Sad\u00adly, we\u2019re the only Chris\u00adt\u00adian group (in the top 10) that is grow\u00ading. And even sad\u00adder, when you get into our inter\u00adnal num\u00adbers you real\u00adize that a few parts of our move\u00adment are grow\u00ading rapid\u00adly but that there are huge swaths under\u00adgo\u00ading slow decline. For now, the explo\u00adsive growth is off\u00adset\u00adting the decay.<\/p>\n

    I\u2019m grate\u00adful that I\u2019m on a win\u00adning team and that our move\u00adment is grow\u00ading when so many are stag\u00adnat\u00ading, but I must con\u00adfess that a 0.96% growth rate is not exact\u00adly the sort of thing that stirs the pulse.<\/p>\n

    We need divine\u00adly-sparked revival to which we must respond with orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion\u00adal renew\u00adal, or else we\u2019ll soon be cel\u00ade\u00adbrat\u00ading the fact that we shrunk least.<\/p>\n

    But hey \u2014 for now I\u2019ve got a handy fact I can share with peo\u00adple who say, \u201cThe Assem\u00adblies of God? Nev\u00ader heard of it.\u201d I can now shoot back, \u201cHey \u2014 we\u2019re almost as large as the Pres\u00adby\u00adte\u00adri\u00adans. Near\u00adly. We\u2019re only off by like 80,000 peo\u00adple. That\u2019s the size of a good South Amer\u00adi\u00adcan church. We haven\u2019t quite fig\u00adured out how to do that in North Amer\u00adi\u00adca, but it can\u2019t be that hard. So we\u2019re basi\u00adcal\u00adly one mis\u00adsi\u00ado\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal insight and then one good church plant away from being num\u00adber 9.
