As Paul says, <i>the Lord has com\u00admand\u00aded that those who pro\u00adclaim the gospel should get their liv\u00ading by the gospel<\/i> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/cgi-bin\/bible?language=english&amp;version=NIV&amp;passage=1+Cor+9:14\">1 Cor 9.14<\/a>). The teach\u00ading is very explic\u00adit. There are many exam\u00adples of this prin\u00adci\u00adple being prac\u00adticed in the Scrip\u00adtures. Here are just a few: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First and most sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant\u00adly, Jesus\u2019 min\u00adistry was fund\u00aded by some of those who heard Him (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/cgi-bin\/bible?language=english&amp;version=NIV&amp;passage=Luke8:1-3\">Luke 8.1\u20133<\/a>), and He taught the dis\u00adci\u00adples to rely on oth\u00aders while min\u00adis\u00adter\u00ading (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/cgi-bin\/bible?language=english&amp;version=NIV&amp;passage=Matthew+10%3A5-15\">Matthew 10.5\u201315<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Sec\u00adond, Paul request\u00aded that the Roman church finan\u00adcial\u00adly sup\u00adport Phoebe, one of the min\u00adis\u00adters at Cenchrae. Actu\u00adal\u00adly, that was the sec\u00adond-best option for him.
