Okay, maybe the title is a lit\u00adtle mis\u00adlead\u00ading. It\u2019s not like I\u2019m a pro\u00adfes\u00adsor or any\u00adthing.<\/p>\n
I did get to give a lec\u00adture, though. Let me tell you about it\u2026<\/p>\n
Jim\u00admy Lim<\/a>, a grad stu\u00addent who helps lead wor\u00adship for Chi Alpha @ Stan\u00adford<\/a> is tak\u00ading a class called Vol\u00adun\u00adtary Social Sys\u00adtems. The class basi\u00adcal\u00adly seeks to describe a max\u00adi\u00admal\u00adly free soci\u00adety, one in which all laws flow from the max\u00adim that \u201cpeace\u00adful, hon\u00adest peo\u00adple have a right to be left alone.\u201d<\/p>\n Any\u00adway, each stu\u00addent who is tak\u00ading the class for full cred\u00adit is required to bring in an out\u00adside speak\u00ader, and Jim\u00admy chose me!<\/p>\n It was real\u00adly an astound\u00ading opportunity\u2013I was able to talk about \u201cReli\u00adgion and the Max\u00adim Soci\u00adety\u201d to a group of most\u00adly unbe\u00adliev\u00ading grad stu\u00addents. In fact, I think the bulk of the stu\u00addents were athe\u00adists. <\/p>\n In case you\u2019re won\u00adder\u00ading, the lec\u00adture went real\u00adly well (at least, that\u2019s my take on things). They applaud\u00aded when I was done and we had a won\u00adder\u00adful time of ques\u00adtion and answer. I was able to talk very forth\u00adright\u00adly about my faith in God, the cen\u00adtral\u00adi\u00adty of reli\u00adgion to human expe\u00adri\u00adence, and to present the gospel in a high\u00adly con\u00adtex\u00adtu\u00adal\u00adized man\u00adner.<\/p>\n Woohoo!<\/p>\n Please pray that these stu\u00addents (and the pro\u00adfes\u00adsor, Ron Howard) would become sen\u00adsi\u00adtive to God\u2019s pres\u00adence in their lives. Pray also that Jim\u00admy and Lynn (the oth\u00ader Chi Alpha stu\u00addent in the class) would have oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties to talk with their class\u00admates about spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal things.<\/p>\n Also, please pray for more cool oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties to share the gospel at Stan\u00adford!<\/p>\n
