Last week\u00adend I promised my dad that I\u2019d put some per\u00adson\u00adal news on the site, and I\u2019ve been not doing that ever since. Sor\u00adry!<\/p>\n

Last week\u00adend was pret\u00adty neat: Paula and I got to share in two church\u00ades: Cameron Park Chris\u00adt\u00adian Cen\u00adter<\/a> and Lake\u00adview Assem\u00adbly. They were both quite cool in dif\u00adfer\u00adent ways. It was\u00adn\u2019t even that much driving\u2013they\u2019re with\u00adin two hours or so of one anoth\u00ader!<\/p>\n

The work week was pret\u00adty busy: the stu\u00addents returned from spring break, and I real\u00adly felt that I need\u00aded to talk about the war head-on. What good is faith if it does\u00adn\u2019t inform your every\u00adday view of the world?<\/p>\n

At the same time, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s my job to tell peo\u00adple what to think; rather, I\u2019m to help them learn to think in a Bib\u00adli\u00adcal way. So I opt\u00aded to talk about the sub\u00adject of war\u00adfare in gen\u00ader\u00adal, what we should think about it, and what we should do in a time of war. All that to say, I had a lot of prep work to do!<\/p>\n

I put my notes on the group web\u00adsite<\/a> so they could fol\u00adlow up on some ref\u00ader\u00adences I made.<\/p>\n

As usu\u00adal, we went to the Stan\u00adford Cof\u00adfee\u00adhouse after\u00adward and stayed up for far too long talk\u00ading.<\/p>\n

Wednes\u00adday I made a TON of phone calls. My ear still hurts (not real\u00adly).<\/p>\n

Thurs\u00adday Paula and I decid\u00aded to have some stu\u00addents over for a home-cooked meal and we stayed up entire\u00adly too late talk\u00ading (notice the pat\u00adtern).<\/p>\n

Fri\u00adday I was sick (no doubt due to the afore\u00admen\u00adtioned pat\u00adtern).<\/p>\n

Which brings me to today. I got sun\u00adburn on my ears. I hope they don\u2019t peel too vis\u00adi\u00adbly while I\u2019m preach\u00ading tomorrow\u2013I bet that would be dis\u00adtract\u00ading.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
