The San Jose Mercury News wrote an article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bayarea.com\/mld\/mercurynews\/news\/6983329.htm\">Stanford Students Hospitalized After \u2018Full Moon\u2019 Party<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>lead paragraph: <i>Four Stanford students were hospitalized with alcohol poisoning and three others were arrested on alcohol-related charges Thursday night during \u201cFull Moon on the Quad\u201d \u2014 a popular annual tradition in which seniors kiss consenting freshmen under the moonlight in what is billed as an alcohol-free party, Stanford said&nbsp;today.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Full Moon may be billed as an alcohol-free party, but that just means that many students get soused before showing up to tongue-wrestle.<\/p>\n<p>Also, I noticed the Mercury News didn\u2019t mention the ever-present nudity (the other moon on the quad that night)\u2026 sigh.<\/p>\n<p>According the Stanford Daily, the university is growing concerned about Full Moon\u2019s rowdiness: <a href=\"http:\/\/daily.stanford.edu\/tempo?page=content&amp;id=11877&amp;repository=0001_article\">Full Moon\u2019s Future Cloudy<\/a>: <i>I have serious reservations about this event happening again, said Assistant Dean and Director of Student Activities Nanci Howe.
