My friend Andrew Carea\u00adga<\/a> (aka Cleopa\u00adtra<\/a>) cor\u00adrect\u00adly point\u00aded out that being num\u00adber one isn\u2019t always a desir\u00adable thing, so I thought I\u2019d give him some props. Check out his site.<\/p>\n

Any\u00adway, today was extreme\u00adly pro\u00adduc\u00adtive. Tim Smith<\/a> (the Chi Alpha @ Sacra\u00admen\u00adto State guy who game\u00adly tried to recruit Glen Cole to our Chi Alpha fam\u00adi\u00adly<\/a>) and I met with John Har\u00adris and Doug Reid of Cap\u00adi\u00adtal Chris\u00adt\u00adian Cen\u00adter in Sacra\u00admen\u00adto<\/a>. Doug is the stu\u00addent min\u00adistries pas\u00adtor and John works on his staff to reach col\u00adlege stu\u00addents.<\/p>\n

Doug recent\u00adly came on staff and com\u00admis\u00adsioned a demo\u00adgraph\u00adic study of all the stu\u00addents in Sacra\u00admen\u00adto. He was floored when he real\u00adized that there were more col\u00adlege stu\u00addents than high school stu\u00addents (150,000 col\u00adle\u00adgians) and that he only had 1.5 staff peo\u00adple focus\u00ading on them (out of a stu\u00addent min\u00adistries staff of 20).<\/p>\n

Being a sharp guy, Doug real\u00adized that he needs to rad\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly realign his min\u00adistry to touch col\u00adlege stu\u00addents.<\/p>\n

We had a great meet\u00ading and I think that we\u2019ve got some great ideas for syn\u00ader\u00adgiz\u00ading their out\u00adreach with what Chi Alpha is doing. Along\u00adside Noble\u2019s mod\u00adel in Spring\u00adfield, MO (if you don\u2019t know I don\u2019t have time to explain it) this could real\u00adly be a huge stride for\u00adward for Assem\u00adblies of God col\u00adlege min\u00adistry.<\/p>\n

After\u00adwards, Paula and I got to hang with Tim and Julie at Cal\u00adi\u00adfor\u00adnia Piz\u00adza Kitchen after\u00adwards. Good food and good friends.<\/p>\n
