I final\u00adly received the first install\u00adment of my sub\u00adscrip\u00adtion to Rel\u00ade\u00advant Net\u00adwork<\/a> this morn\u00ading (I say final\u00adly because I expect\u00aded it last week).<\/p>\n

Any\u00adway, I had won\u00addered what I would get with my sub\u00adscrip\u00adtion, and now I know. I thought I\u2019d pass it on in case your min\u00adistry is con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ading join\u00ading the net\u00adwork.<\/p>\n

I got a mag\u00ada\u00adzine called Rel\u00ade\u00advant Leader. It looks okay\u2013it\u2019s a guide to the resources in the kit (reviews, inter\u00adviews with artists, etc) along with a hand\u00adful of extra arti\u00adcles thrown in.<\/p>\n

I got 5 copies of the most recent issue of Rel\u00ade\u00advant Mag\u00ada\u00adzine<\/a>. That was nice, but for some rea\u00adson the mag\u00ada\u00adzine has always under\u00adwhelmed me. I\u2019ve always felt that they try too hard. But then again, I tend to get annoyed at most things I\u2019m sup\u00adposed to find cool (like pop\u00adu\u00adlar music and tele\u00advi\u00adsion pro\u00adgrams), so that\u2019s a clue that Rel\u00ade\u00advant is hit\u00adting its demo\u00adgraph\u00adic (for the record, I\u2019m a NPR<\/a> junkie. If there\u2019s ever any\u00adthing else on in the car it\u2019s prob\u00ada\u00adbly because Paula is dri\u00adving).<\/p>\n

I got 7 books (Red Moon Ris\u00ading<\/a>, The 250: Evan\u00adge\u00adlism Ideas for Your Cam\u00adpus<\/a>, Enjoy\u00ading God<\/a>, Enter the Wor\u00adship Cir\u00adcle<\/a>, Soul Sur\u00advivor<\/a>, What\u2019s So Amaz\u00ading About Grace \u2014 Visu\u00adal Edi\u00adtion<\/a>, and The Air I Breathe<\/a>).<\/p>\n

I got 2 study guides (one for Red Moon Ris\u00ading and the oth\u00ader for Soul Sur\u00advivor).<\/p>\n

And I got 5 CDs (Anony\u00admous<\/a>: Accel\u00ader\u00adate in Slow Motion, Enter The Wor\u00adship Cir\u00adcle: The Third Cir\u00adcle<\/a>, Des\u00adper\u00ada\u00adtion<\/a>, Antho\u00adny Skin\u00adner<\/a>: For\u00adev\u00ader and a Day, and Tele\u00adcast<\/a>: The Beau\u00adty of Sim\u00adplic\u00adi\u00adty).<\/p>\n

Not a bad deal. Not bad at all. I was wor\u00adried I would be dis\u00admayed with my pur\u00adchase, but I was actu\u00adal\u00adly quite sat\u00adis\u00adfied.<\/p>\n

I had hoped for some video clips (like the kind of stuff High\u00adway Video<\/a> puts out), but that was\u00adn\u2019t to be. Per\u00adhaps in future install\u00adments.<\/p>\n

UPDATE:<\/b> After a lit\u00adtle more reflec\u00adtion, I real\u00adized that I was sur\u00adprised at how few of the resources were actu\u00adal\u00adly min\u00adistry resources. Most were per\u00adson\u00adal growth resources.<\/p>\n

As I men\u00adtioned before, I was most anx\u00adious to receive tools (such as video clips) that would be use\u00adful in con\u00adduct\u00ading wor\u00adship ser\u00advices or plan\u00adning out\u00adreach\u00ades or craft\u00ading ser\u00admons. Videos from Nooma<\/a>, for exam\u00adple, would be real\u00adly help\u00adful. Two or three ser\u00admons on CD would be extreme\u00adly use\u00adful. A bible study or two would be well-received.<\/p>\n

I guess I\u2019d pre\u00adfer to see 50%+ of the resources be min\u00adistry tools and the minor\u00adi\u00adty be per\u00adson\u00adal growth mate\u00adri\u00adals.<\/p>\n

Just some thoughts.<\/p>\n

Over\u00adall, it\u2019s a great invest\u00adment. The books and CDs I received were worth far more than I\u2019m pay\u00ading for the sub\u00adscrip\u00adtion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
