This is rare, and it under\u00adstand\u00adably con\u00adfus\u00ades Stan\u00adford stu\u00addents. They came to Stan\u00adford because they thought all of Cal\u00adi\u00adfor\u00adnia was San Diego. That and because Stan\u00adford is awe\u00adsome. But the San Diego thing was def\u00adi\u00adnite\u00adly a tip\u00adping fac\u00adtor. Rain is not fea\u00adtured promi\u00adnent\u00adly in the Stan\u00adford recruit\u00ading mate\u00adri\u00adals.<\/p>\n

In sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtions like this some peo\u00adple con\u00adtem\u00adplate skip\u00adping Bible study (you know who you are). <\/p>\n

I thought I should take this oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to clar\u00adi\u00adfy my posi\u00adtion on rain: Bible stud\u00adies do not get can\u00adceled on account of rain. That\u2019s base\u00adball. And pic\u00adnics. But not Bible stud\u00adies.<\/p>\n

And you should not skip Bible stud\u00adies because it is rain\u00ading. Show up wet. That\u2019s why we bap\u00adtize you. So you\u2019ll learn not to fear water. And if you haven\u2019t been bap\u00adtized, come to Bible study<\/a> and kill two birds with one stone.<\/p>\n

And as for our week\u00adly meet\u00ading<\/a>\u2026 don\u2019t even think about it. We\u2019ll have that one even if Jesus tells me the Rap\u00adture is sched\u00aduled for 7:35pm on a Wednes\u00adday. I fig\u00adure those who are left behind will have some\u00adthing to talk about in our absence.<\/p>\n
