\nToday I am twice the age of an incom\u00ading col\u00adlege fresh\u00adman. My stu\u00addents are in trou\u00adble now, because age and treach\u00adery always trump youth and exu\u00adber\u00adance.1<\/sup><\/p>\n

The scales are tilt\u00aded even more in my favor than you might sup\u00adpose. It\u2019s not just that I\u2019m twice their age \u2014 I\u2019m far old\u00ader in terms of adult expe\u00adri\u00adence. Let\u2019s say that you begin expe\u00adri\u00adenc\u00ading the world as an adult at the age of 16 (ignore the howls of laugh\u00adter you hear in the back\u00adground). Then most fresh\u00admen have expe\u00adri\u00adenced life as a grown up for two years. I, on the oth\u00ader hand, have spent twen\u00adty years in that same state.<\/p>\n

Twen\u00adty is ten times two. So although I am mere\u00adly twice the bio\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal age of fresh\u00admen, I am TEN TIMES as expe\u00adri\u00adenced at think\u00ading like an adult. Advan\u00adtage: me.<\/p>\n

And if you think about it from a pure\u00adly legal per\u00adspec\u00adtive, the fresh\u00admen have mere months of expe\u00adri\u00adence as an eigh\u00adteen-year-old. I\u2019ve been a legal adult for some\u00adthing like 50 times longer than them.<\/p>\n
