After mus\u00ading about col\u00adle\u00adgians in the AG<\/a>, I got curi\u00adous about our dis\u00adtric\u00adt\u2019s demo\u00adgraph\u00adics and so I emailed Rich Hop\u00adping<\/a> (our secretrary\/treasurer) and asked him how many peo\u00adple are in our dis\u00adtrict and how many we\u2019re reach\u00ading.<\/p>\n

He said:<\/p>\n

It is our esti\u00adma\u00adtion there are 16 mil\u00adlion peo\u00adple who live in the geo\u00adgraph\u00adi\u00adcal bound\u00adaries of the NCN Dis\u00adtrict. There are 130 thou\u00adsand peo\u00adple who call an Assem\u00adblies of God church their church home. On any Sun\u00adday morn\u00ading there are 80 to 90 thou\u00adsand folks in atten\u00addance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For the record, our geo\u00adgraph\u00adi\u00adcal bound\u00adaries are the entire state of Neva\u00adda and Cal\u00adi\u00adfor\u00adnia north of Fres\u00adno (but not includ\u00ading Fres\u00adno).<\/p>\n

That trans\u00adlates to rough\u00adly 0.8% of our dis\u00adtrict. By com\u00adpar\u00adi\u00adson, we\u2019re reach\u00ading less than 0.5% of the col\u00adle\u00adgians in our dis\u00adtrict. So col\u00adlege min\u00adistry lags behind in the Assem\u00adblies (although not near\u00adly as bad\u00adly as I feared).<\/p>\n

By the way, I find Assem\u00adblies of God tri\u00adumphal\u00adism pret\u00adty fun\u00adny giv\u00aden that we\u2019re reach\u00ading less than 1% of our audi\u00adence (in our dis\u00adtrict, at least). World\u00adwide we rock, but in Amer\u00adi\u00adca things are a dif\u00adfer\u00adent sto\u00adry.<\/s> update<\/b>: in 2003 Amer\u00adi\u00adca had a pop\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion of 290,809,777 and the Assem\u00adblies of God report\u00aded a con\u00adstituen\u00adcy of 2,729,562, which works out to 0.9%. So our dis\u00adtrict is just a tad below the aver\u00adage in terms of con\u00adstituen\u00adcy as a per\u00adcent\u00adage of the pop\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion. My curi\u00adousi\u00adty piqued, I checked our world\u00adwide con\u00adstituen\u00adcy as a per\u00adcent\u00adage of glob\u00adal population\u201350,000,000 ver\u00adsus 6,000,000,000 also comes out to 0.8%. We\u2019re noth\u00ading if not con\u00adsis\u00adtent\u2026<\/p>\n
