{"id":305,"date":"2004-11-12T13:07:36","date_gmt":"2004-11-12T21:07:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/glenandpaula.com\/archives\/2004\/11\/12\/ukiah-here-we-come\/"},"modified":"2004-11-12T13:07:58","modified_gmt":"2004-11-12T21:07:58","slug":"ukiah-here-we-come","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glenandpaula.com\/wordpress\/archives\/2004\/11\/12\/ukiah-here-we-come","title":{"rendered":"Ukiah, Here We&nbsp;Come!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re going to be at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redwoodvalleyag.org\/\">Redwood Valley Assembly of God<\/a> this weekend, so I decided to do some quick research about&nbsp;them.<\/p>\n<p>What I discovered floored me: they meet in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redwoodvalleyag.org\/page.php?pageid=78be4805f44ab2169ab33f09d2d0d4ea\">the old building<\/a> which Jim Jones (yes, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jim_Jones\">that Jim Jones<\/a>) used for cult meetings.<\/p>\n<p>Both cool and creepy at the same&nbsp;time.<\/p>\n<p>This snippet from the church website says it&nbsp;best:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>What once was a place used for selfish ambition is now a place of redemption.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I know the pastor, but I never thought to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=%22kim+harvey%22+pastor&amp;btnG=Search&amp;hl=en&amp;lr=&amp;safe=off&amp;client=firefox-a&amp;rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial\">google his name<\/a> before now. I bet he\u2019s got the most fascinating stories.
