{"id":37,"date":"2002-07-26T22:41:15","date_gmt":"2002-07-27T06:41:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/glenandpaula.com\/archives\/2002\/07\/26\/acting-like-tourists-in-san-francisco\/"},"modified":"2002-07-26T22:41:15","modified_gmt":"2002-07-27T06:41:15","slug":"acting-like-tourists-in-san-francisco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glenandpaula.com\/wordpress\/archives\/2002\/07\/26\/acting-like-tourists-in-san-francisco","title":{"rendered":"Acting Like Tourists in San Francisco"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We took my mom to do the tourist thing in SF today: we took the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caltrain.com\/\">Cal Train<\/a> from Palo Alto into SF, and then the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfmuni.com\/home\/home50.htm\">Muni buses<\/a> (which take forever) to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fishermanswharf.org\/\">Fisherman\u2019s Wharf<\/a> (overrated), the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.exploratorium.edu\/\">Exploratorium<\/a> (San Fran\u2019s best-rated museum), and a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blueandgoldfleet.com\/bcruisesc.html\">Blue and Gold Bay Cruise<\/a> (there were so many people we could barely see anything, and the noise from the engine drowned out the audio presentation for a good portion of the tour). We ate lunch at the Expo Family Restaurant (no website), and at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rainforestcafe.com\/RFC\/default.asp\">Rain Forest Cafe<\/a> (which was quite an adventure: the food was decent, but the atmosphere was excellent)!<\/p>\n<p>We also had a chance to drop by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ghirardellisq.com\/\">Ghirardelli Square<\/a> (yes, like the chocolate company). It\u2019s a mall area, but they do prominently feature chocolate!
