UPDATE 12\/4\/2014: Last night was our first Chi Alpha gath\u00ader\u00ading since the Fer\u00adgu\u00adson non-indict\u00adment \u2014 the same day as the NYC non-indict\u00adment. As a pre\u00adlude to the ser\u00admon, I gave a more com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive take on race and the gospel. I emailed this to the stu\u00addents in my min\u00adistry ear\u00adli\u00ader today and they seemed to find it help\u00adful. I share it in the hope that it will also prove use\u00adful to you.<\/p>\n

\nI know many of us are reflect\u00ading on racism and jus\u00adtice this week. As a fol\u00adlow\u00ader of Jesus, I encour\u00adage you to remem\u00adber that the jour\u00adney Chris\u00adtians are on is a jour\u00adney along\u00adside \u201ca great mul\u00adti\u00adtude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, peo\u00adple and lan\u00adguage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Why should we remem\u00adber that fact? Because it reminds us that racial uni\u00adty is one of the out\u00adcomes of the gospel. Christ brings peo\u00adple togeth\u00ader by draw\u00ading them to Him\u00adself.<\/p>\n

So I urge you to think in a Chris\u00adt\u00adian way about these issues. Here are some resources to stim\u00adu\u00adlate you.<\/p>\n
