It hap\u00adpens with\u00adin a few hours of par\u00adents bring\u00ading their chil\u00addren to cam\u00adpus and is meant to reas\u00adsure them that there is at least a rem\u00adnant of stu\u00addents who strive for right\u00adeous\u00adness. At least, that\u2019s my take on it.<\/p>\n<p>Any\u00adway, we always set up a table there along with the oth\u00ader groups and try to meet fresh\u00admen like crazy.<\/p>\n<p>Today the weath\u00ader threw us a curve\u00adball. <\/p>\n<p>It rained.<\/p>\n<p>In Palo Alto in Sep\u00adtem\u00adber.<\/p>\n<p>It rained.<\/p>\n<p>I was stunned.<\/p>\n<p>I was also dry, hav\u00ading had the fore\u00adsight to bring a canopy. I was also soon alone, as all the oth\u00ader groups had neglect\u00aded this cru\u00adcial bit of prepa\u00adra\u00adtion.<\/p>\n<p>At first the oth\u00ader groups strug\u00adgled through. We invit\u00aded those at adja\u00adcent tables to shel\u00adter with\u00adin our tent, lead\u00ading to the nev\u00ader-before-heard state\u00adment from an ordained Assem\u00adbly of God min\u00adis\u00adter (moi) to an ordained Uni\u00adtar\u00adi\u00adan Uni\u00adver\u00adsal\u00adist min\u00adis\u00adter (Dean Scot\u00adty McLen\u00adnan), \u201cCome on in\u2013the Assem\u00adblies of God tent is big enough for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Heh. That made me hap\u00adpy.<\/p>\n<p>By the end it was us and one or two oth\u00ader groups.
