In a similar way, we need to become wise people whose faith interacts with the&nbsp;world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To that end, I share articles\/resources I have found helpful recently in thinking about broader cultural and societal issues (be sure to see the disclaimer at the bottom). May these give you greater insight, so that you may continue the tradition of Issachar. Here as well the GetReligion commentary adds useful perspective \u2014 <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.getreligion.org\/getreligion\/2015\/7\/25\/from-the-good-old-days-to-the-hellish-isis-days-for-christians-in-middle-east\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From The Good Old Days To The Hellish ISIS Days For Christians In The Middle East? Really?<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the eat-your-wheaties&nbsp;department: <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/acts-of-faith\/wp\/2015\/08\/14\/want-sustained-happiness-get-religion-study-suggests\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Want \u2018Sustained Happiness\u2019? Get Religion, Study Suggests<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Sarah Pulliam Bailey, Washington Post): if you have the desire, check out <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/aje.oxfordjournals.org\/content\/182\/2\/168.short\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the original study in the American Journal of Epidemiology<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><b>Disclaimer<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chi Alpha is not a partisan organization.
