He died very peace\u00adful\u00adly and com\u00adfort\u00adably, as far as any\u00adone can tell. It was one of those expect\u00aded things\u2013he was 80 and had been ill for quite a while. He\u2019s sur\u00advived by his sev\u00aden chil\u00addren and his wife.<\/p>\n<p>I only met him a few times, but I liked him. He was a very kind man and very skilled at mak\u00ading things. Also, I think it\u2019s cool that he spoke Cajun French at home to his fam\u00adi\u00adly. A lot of peo\u00adple from south\u00adern Louisiana seem just like peo\u00adple from Gener\u00adicville, USA, but he was the real deal. He was like all those Cajun chefs you see on tele\u00advi\u00adsion, except he made bird\u00adhous\u00ades instead of meals.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019ll be missed.<\/p>\n<p>For\u00adtu\u00adnate\u00adly, he had such a large fam\u00adi\u00adly that his wife will be well-looked after.
