{"id":425,"date":"2005-10-31T14:56:31","date_gmt":"2005-10-31T22:56:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/glenandpaula.com\/?p=425"},"modified":"2005-10-31T14:58:45","modified_gmt":"2005-10-31T22:58:45","slug":"kyle-lake-died","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glenandpaula.com\/wordpress\/archives\/2005\/10\/31\/kyle-lake-died","title":{"rendered":"Kyle Lake&nbsp;Died"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sometime last year I read a helpful little book called \u201cUnderstanding God\u2019s Will.\u201d I googled up the author, one Kyle Lake (pastor of the church David Crowder attends\u2013<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ubcwaco.org\/\">University Baptist in Waco<\/a>), and emailed him a short note thanking him for taking the time to write the book. He wrote back to me and said thanks, which I thought was pretty classy of&nbsp;him.<\/p>\n<p>So I was pretty shocked this morning to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christianitytoday.com\/ct\/2005\/144\/14.0.html\">read about his death<\/a>. He was about to baptize someone and he reached to adjust the microphone which then sent a current through his body, killing him in the baptistry.<\/p>\n<p>Wow. He was about my age and he just dropped like that while doing a fairly routine part of his&nbsp;job.<\/p>\n<p>My heart goes out to his family and his church. This has to be an incredibly hard time for them.
