As <a href=\"http:\/\/gregpavydavis.com\/2005\/11\/sad-day.html\">my brother mentioned<\/a>, our family dog died last week back in Louisiana. Her name was Missy, and she was one of the best dogs&nbsp;ever.<\/p>\n<p>She was a pretty funny dog. For instance, she used to try to herd my parents as though they were sheep. Quite comical.<\/p>\n<p>It sounds as though she died very peacefully, but I know it\u2019s a hard blow to my parents. They both loved her very much. I did, too, but I\u2019ve been living a few thousand miles away from her and so it lessened the&nbsp;blow.<\/p>\n<p>My dad says he doesn\u2019t want another dog, but he\u2019s a big softie. Some pathetic looking animal will turn up on his doorstep sooner or later, and he\u2019ll adopt&nbsp;it.<\/p>\n<p>But it will never replace Missy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ve held off on posting this for a few days because I\u2019ve been on the busy side.
