The most alarmist view I have seen is&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsobserver.com\/opinion\/op-ed\/article122593759.html\">North Carolina Is No Longer Classified as a Democracy<\/a>, an op-ed<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;by a political science professor at&nbsp;UNC.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.deseretnews.com\/article\/865669460\/Why-the-Catholic-Church-sometimes-turns-to-science-to-investigate-miracles.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why the Catholic Church sometimes turns to science to investigate miracles<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Kelsey Dallas, Deseret News): \u201cThe patient is still alive, posing an ongoing challenge to scientific researchers. \u2018I have zero explanation for why she\u2019s alive. In a similar way, we need to become wise people whose faith interacts with the world. The upshot: you should not assume I agree with everything an author says in an article I mention, much less things the author has said in other articles (although if I strongly disagree with something in the article I\u2019ll usually mention it).<\/p>\n<p>Also, remember that I\u2019m not reporting news \u2014 I\u2019m giving you a selection of things I found interesting.
