\n It pro\u00advid\u00aded an out\u00adlet for God to take a pride\u00adful, back\u00adslid\u00ading kid who enjoyed
\n play\u00ading church and turn him into some\u00adone who is con\u00adstant\u00adly seek\u00ading and fol\u00adlow\u00ading
\n after God. I became a believ\u00ader in high school, but XA is where I learned
\n to walk the path of the believ\u00ader. The course of my life was changed because
\n an intern from XA decid\u00aded to talk to a young, pur\u00adple-haired, fresh\u00adman while
\n he was tak\u00ading a nap out\u00adside. This is my third year in col\u00adlege, and my third
\n year in XA. Last spring break I had the priv\u00adi\u00adlege to go on a XA mis\u00adsion
\n trip, led by Glen Davis, to South Beach Mia\u00admi. A good word to use when describ\u00ading
\n Glen is knowl\u00adedge\u00adable. When men\u00adtion\u00ading him to oth\u00aders I often say, \u201cIf it\u2019s
\n a book, Glen has read it.\u201d But know\u00ading about God only takes you so far;
\n know\u00ading God is much more impor\u00adtant. Both of these kinds of knowl\u00adedge are
\n dis\u00adplayed through Glen. I real\u00adly saw this dur\u00ading the mis\u00adsion trip. We did
\n some wit\u00adness\u00ading on the cam\u00adpus of the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Mia\u00admi. While we were
\n there, Glen did some open air preach\u00ading. This was not \u201chell-fire and brim\u00adstone\u201d
\n stuff, but the respectable, hon\u00adest address\u00ading of ques\u00adtions peo\u00adple had about
\n Chris\u00adtian\u00adi\u00adty and Jesus. Not only does an activ\u00adi\u00adty like this take gall, but
\n also it takes authen\u00adtic wis\u00addom to do it effec\u00adtive\u00adly. Need\u00adless to say, Glen
\n knows his stuff. But as I men\u00adtioned ear\u00adli\u00ader, knowl\u00adedge about God can only
\n take you so far. Glen\u2019s knowl\u00adedge of God is dis\u00adplayed just as much. We did
\n home\u00adless min\u00adistry in South Beach. We did more than just tell these peo\u00adple
\n about God\u2019s love for them; we actu\u00adal\u00adly demon\u00adstrat\u00aded it in a prac\u00adti\u00adcal way
\n (James 2:15\u201317) by feed\u00ading them and lis\u00adten\u00ading to them. When\u00adev\u00ader I have a
\n ques\u00adtion about, gen\u00ader\u00adal\u00adly any\u00adthing, Glen is almost always the first per\u00adson
\n I go to. Glen and Paula are both real\u00adly great, God-fol\u00adlow\u00ading peo\u00adple. And
\n I would be say\u00ading that even if they weren\u2019t let\u00adting me do my laun\u00addry at
