Inspired by Mark Driscol\u00adl\u2019s exam\u00adple<\/a>, I video\u00adtaped last week\u2019s Chi Alpha meet\u00ading and put it online<\/a> using Google Video. So now you can just go to google video and search for some\u00adthing like \u201cJesus at Stan\u00adford<\/a>\u201d and the video will appear.<\/p>\n

Or you can just go to the xastanford.org<\/a> web\u00adsite and see it there. Google lets you embed the videos wher\u00adev\u00ader you want. Pret\u00adty amaz\u00ading, huh?<\/p>\n

Not bad for our first try. Now I need to brain\u00adstorm about mak\u00ading it more attractive\u2013the black\u00adboard is pret\u00adty unap\u00adpeal\u00ading. For that mat\u00adter, I\u2019m not all that appealing\u2013I need a fash\u00adion makeover or some\u00adthing. And I need to talk slow\u00ader. Still, not too bad for our first try.<\/p>\n

So why do we record these meet\u00adings? I can imag\u00adine some\u00adone alleg\u00ading that it\u2019s some sort of ego\u00adma\u00adni\u00ada\u00adcal thing. As a rebut\u00adtal, I can only offer my poor groom\u00ading skills. Ego\u00adma\u00adni\u00adacs exfo\u00adli\u00adate.<\/p>\n

So why do we record our meet\u00adings? 3 rea\u00adsons:<\/p>\n

1) We want to make it easy for our stu\u00addents to invite their friends to come.<\/p>\n

2) So our stu\u00addents still be part of our com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty when they\u2019re doing a study abroad. We\u2019ve been lis\u00adtened to on at least three con\u00adti\u00adnents. I\u2019m gun\u00adning for the whole globe!<\/p>\n

3) I some\u00adtimes refer back to pre\u00advi\u00adous mes\u00adsages and it\u2019s easy to say, \u201cYou know, I talked about that a few quar\u00adters ago. I don\u2019t have time to explain all my thoughts on that right now\u2013go get it off our web\u00adsite and ask me any fol\u00adlow-up ques\u00adtions you have.\u201d<\/p>\n
