It\u2019s hard to believe. I was sched\u00aduled to preach at an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.agts.edu\/community\/chapel.html\">AGTS chapel ser\u00advice<\/a> that morn\u00ading. As soon as I saw the planes hit I began chang\u00ading my mes\u00adsage, although I ful\u00adly expect\u00aded the phone call that came short\u00adly after\u00adwards: \u201cWe\u2019ll reschedule\u2013we just feel like we need to devote the full ser\u00advice to prayer.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In that year I\u2019ve moved from there to here, and I was sur\u00adprised to learn how Stan\u00adford was affect\u00aded by the ter\u00adror\u00adist attacks on our cul\u00adture.<\/p>\n<p>A few items in no par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar order:<\/p>\n<p>I found this brief sto\u00adry about the <a href=\"http:\/\/news-service.stanford.edu\/news\/september11\/911-iranianstudent.html\">40 Iran\u00adian nation\u00adals<\/a> who study at Stan\u00adford inter\u00adest\u00ading. I also thought <a href=\"http:\/\/news-service.stanford.edu\/news\/september11\/911-pearson.html\">this admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtor\u2019s per\u00adspec\u00adtive<\/a> on their plight was inter\u00adest\u00ading.<\/p>\n<p>I also was shocked to learn that <a href=\"http:\/\/news-service.stanford.edu\/news\/september11\/911-seilbach.html\">Stan\u00adford received fake anthrax mail\u00adings<\/a> last Octo\u00adber. Those inci\u00addents spawned an <a href=\"http:\/\/news-service.stanford.edu\/news\/september11\/911-gibbs.html\">emer\u00adgency response force<\/a>. I did find it mild\u00adly humor\u00adous that the biosafe\u00adty man\u00adag\u00ader <a href=\"http:\/\/news-service.stanford.edu\/news\/september11\/911-segal.html\">had to get spe\u00adcial per\u00admis\u00adsion to just ana\u00adlyze every\u00adthing her\u00adself<\/a>.
