And it\u2019s not just that he couldn\u2019t build an air\u00adplane on his own, it\u2019s that he couldn\u2019t design one on his own. This is a big deal, but it isn\u2019t mag\u00adic. Fun\u00adda\u00admen\u00adtal\u00adly, the world is just not that com\u00adpress\u00adible. Gold\u00aden motes of com\u00adpress\u00adibil\u00adi\u00adty are the trea\u00adsured excep\u00adtions in thing\u00adspace, not the rule. I expect the post-AGI future will look much the same. Here, great things are achieved grad\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly, iter\u00ada\u00adtive\u00adly, and coop\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtive\u00adly. Pure IQ does not allow you to lev\u00adi\u00adtate or hyp\u00adno\u00adtize or tele\u00adport. It makes you a bet\u00adter node in the dis\u00adtrib\u00aduted evo\u00adlu\u00adtion\u00adary process which is the lay\u00ader where most of the think\u00ading hap\u00adpens.
