It\u2019s very easy to be spiritual on Sunday and at official religious functions, but it\u2019s much harder to study in a Christian way, to work with a Christian work ethic, to conduct ourselves at the dinner table in a manner that pleases Christ.<\/p>\n<p>But such things are the very essence of our&nbsp;faith.<\/p>\n<p>If our faith does not manifest in the small things, it\u2019s virtually irrelevant how it manifests in the big things.<\/p>\n<p>Why all these thoughts on holistic Christianity? This <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christianitytoday.com\/ct\/2002\/131\/22.0.html\">blog entry discussing ethics among Christian businesspeople<\/a>. You ought to read&nbsp;it.<\/p>\n<p>And then you ought to ask yourself whether or not you\u2019re different as a student because of your faith in Jesus. If you\u2019re not, then you\u2019ve not fully internalized your&nbsp;faith.<\/p>\n<p>What do I mean? Here are some off-the-cuff reflections on what it means to be a student to the glory of&nbsp;Jesus:<br>\n* You actually seek to master the material.<br>\n* You love truth and seek it passionately, even going beyond the bounds of an assignment to acquire it.<br>\n* You do assigned work whether your professor will check it or&nbsp;not.<br>\n* You seek to make knowledge practical (turn it into wisdom).<br>\n* You\u2019re a pleasure to have in class (both for the prof and other students).<br>\n* When you disagree with the prof you do so in an agreeable way.<\/p>\n<p>There are tons more, but these are a few that pop into my&nbsp;head\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the greatest challenges we face as believers is living authentically Christian lives.
