Some\u00adone asked Bri\u00adan, \u201cWell, won\u2019t an open\u00adness to doubt lead to spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal insta\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty and inse\u00adcu\u00adri\u00adty?\u201d \u201cYes,\u201d he respond\u00aded, \u201cbut couldn\u2019t an unwill\u00ading\u00adness to ques\u00adtion lead to false secu\u00adri\u00adty that could be even more dan\u00adger\u00adous?\u201d Being coura\u00adgeous enough to ask \u201cwhy\u201d (or even \u201cwhy not\u201d) can lead to a deep\u00aden\u00ading of faith. Jesus nev\u00ader said to us, \u201cI will nev\u00ader leave you or for\u00adsake you \u2026 well, I take that back: I\u2019ll only leave you when you start to doubt and ques\u00adtion. And when you doubt, I\u2019m out\u00adta here.\u201d I believe Jesus, when He said He would nev\u00ader leave us or for\u00adsake us, He meant He would stick by us at all times, even in the tough times, the times when we won\u00adder if he is even lis\u00adten\u00ading at all. Doubt can be painful, but it has the poten\u00adtial for an incred\u00adi\u00adble spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal break\u00adthrough. <\/p>\n
