I\u2019ve nev\u00ader been able to artic\u00adu\u00adlate it as well as I would like, which is why I was so pleased to run across this essay by Den\u00adnis Prager: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.townhall.com\/columnists\/dennisprager\/dp20030715.shtml\">Would You Rather Your Teenag\u00ader Smoke Or Cheat?<\/a> <\/p>\n<div style=\"display:none\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.geektechs.net?pervert\">down\u00adload per\u00advert  online<\/a><\/div>\n<p> .<\/p>\n<p>Here are his open\u00ading para\u00adgraphs, I encour\u00adage you to read the whole thing: <i>Decades of lec\u00adtur\u00ading around Amer\u00adi\u00adca and of speak\u00ading with par\u00adents on my radio show have led me to an incred\u00adi\u00adble con\u00adclu\u00adsion: More Amer\u00adi\u00adcan par\u00adents would be upset with their teenage chil\u00addren if they smoked a cig\u00ada\u00adrette than if they cheat\u00aded on a test.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>How has this come about? This is, after all, an entire\u00adly new phe\u00adnom\u00ade\u00adnon. Almost no mem\u00adber of my gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion (those who became teenagers in the 1960s), let alone a mem\u00adber of any pre\u00advi\u00adous gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion, could ever have imag\u00adined that par\u00adents would be angri\u00ader with their teenage child for smok\u00ading than for cheat\u00ading.<\/p>\n<p>There has been a pro\u00adfound change in Amer\u00adi\u00adcan val\u00adues. In a nut\u00adshell, health has over\u00adtak\u00aden moral\u00adi\u00adty.
