For the last two decades, a Vir\u00adginia man\u00adsion has been a pri\u00advate hide\u00adaway for world lead\u00aders, mem\u00adbers of Con\u00adgress, and even pop star Michael Jack\u00adson\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n

The Fel\u00adlow\u00adship was a behind-the-scenes play\u00ader at the Camp David Mid\u00addle East accords in 1978, work\u00ading with Pres\u00adi\u00addent Jim\u00admy Carter to issue a world\u00adwide call to prayer with Israeli Prime Min\u00adis\u00adter Men\u00adachem Begin and Egypt\u00adian Pres\u00adi\u00addent Anwar Sadat. Dur\u00ading the Cold War, it helped finance an anti-com\u00admu\u00adnism pro\u00adpa\u00adgan\u00adda film endorsed by the CIA and used by the Pen\u00adta\u00adgon over\u00adseas.<\/p>\n

Last year, the Fel\u00adlow\u00adship helped arrange a secret meet\u00ading at Cedars between two war\u00adring lead\u00aders, Demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adt\u00adic Repub\u00adlic of Con\u00adgo Pres\u00adi\u00addent Joseph Kabi\u00adla and Rwan\u00addan Pres\u00adi\u00addent Paul Kagame\u2013one of the first of a series of dis\u00adcreet meet\u00adings between the two African lead\u00aders that even\u00adtu\u00adal\u00adly led to the sign\u00ading of a peace accord in July.<\/p>\n
