Delightful Communications

The response to my April Wis­dom post was every bit as won­der­ful as I had hoped.

Only one per­son com­ment­ed on the blog, but we got sev­er­al more “live” com­mu­ni­ca­tions. My per­son­al favorite: a voice­mail mes­sage that said, among oth­er things, “I thought we had a deal.”

    Con­grat­u­la­tions on immi­nent father­hood! It is a blast and will shake you up, gau­ran­teed. Hav­ing a kid will reveal more about your­self, your spir­i­tu­al­i­ty, and your rela­tion­ship with your Father than noth­ing else I know. It’s been an amaz­ing jour­ney, and I take every step with love, joy, and much awe and trep­i­da­tion.

    Unlike shav­ing my own head. That was a rash act that I have been lov­ing ever since. The trep­i­da­tion over, I have cool, hair-free days ahead of me.

    Now that I’m shorn, I notice oth­er hair-free men more fre­quent­ly. Appar­ent­ly, we’re every­where.
